This tumblr is for anyone who is interested in, or practices, the darker aspects of the Craft, or the oft misunderstood rites of Santería, Voodoo, Asatrú, and everything in between. We discuss the maligned deities, the disparaged paths, and most of all, balancing the dark with the light. For how do we know when the sun sets if the moon doth not rise?

Salem, MA Festival of the Dead Events Announced!

As much as people may not enjoy the tourism of Salem, especially during the Samhain season, there are some interesting things that are done. I will post the pamphlet descriptions, and since I have taken 10/25/12 to 11/1/12 off, I will be going to most of these events. I am aware that it’s just June, but some people may need time to plan ahead…

No, I am not sponsered by Christian Day or Salem, MA. I went to school there for 4 years, and I worked for Christian for 2 months at the most. We actually ended my occupation terms poorly (he fired me for getting sick on the first day of October, so I had the gall to want to prevent his psychics from getting sick…), but these events get pretty amazing reviews every year, and if any of the followers here wish to go to Salem to celebrate, I figured it’d be some good information to share.

(Hello, I’m Amanda!)
I’m currently reading The Book of the Sacred Magic of Abramelin the Mage as translated by Mathers, which is on the required reading list for the Argentium Astrum, a magical order created by Crowley.
It’s very heavy and very technical (which was just Crowley’s style), but it is something that I think is good to pick up if you have a chance.
